recommendations for a generator, for camping?

haha yea well i do the backpacking thing. love it, but this upcoming weeklong camp is a ham radio club get together. and a generator is almost a must. as for the noise. and why i think the honda may be best. is i think it is very quiet.
ne way looks like Bella , is the only one that could focus on the actual question. so looks like she will b gettin best answer award. ill have to post my ? in a different way . and avoid some rantine lol.

We used our newest one last week for Earth Day fests camping.
We purchased an Inverter Generator this time and ahhhh, soooo much quieter !~
Nothing is worse than that kind of noise when trying to work or even think, but this one by Honeywell takes the ribbon !
If you go to overstock.com you can save up to a couple hundred smackers !

Why not stay home. Camping is for the enjoyment of the outdoors,
Try listening to night sounds, they are varied and many. Read a book bylantern lightt, cook on either a propane or white gas stove. Go for hikes and identify wild flowers and possibly wildlife.
Generator and camping do not belong even in the same paragraph.

You must have more money than brains. Buying a generator, refrigerator and the rest vs ice and 12 volt is the way to go. Much quieter for your neighbors.

camping with a generator?? never heard of it, camping is when you try to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and life’s troubles, if you bring electricity, your basically bringing the city with you, leave the electricity and have fun roughing it.
if your “camping” in a RV or a trailer, then that’s not considered camping, it’s RVing in both cases, not camping.
having a generator might even ruin a RVing trip because of the noise they make, constantly running and needing to fill it every few hours, it would ruin mine at least.

Honda buy 2 today, you can link them together for additional power. I have 2 2000ie’s that I use on my toyota dolphin camper. one to power the camper the other to power my ham when I need more power for the radio I link them together and talk to folks in Japan

ANY generator is still annoying when your trying to enjoy the peace of the outdoors, Know matter how quiet you think they may be. Just like me playing my annoying music all day long on my quiet radio that you can hear at the bottom of the canyon.
laptop? not camping!
There are other alternatives. ice & coolers, battery powered or kerosene lights. Just like the old days before generators.
