Can a 2000 watt generator run an air compressor?

I have a friend with a 2000 watt, 120 volt 16.7 amp generator. Can that run a 26 gallon 1.6 horsepower air compressor? The air compressor would need to constantly be running for about an hour.

    Generator load on the compressor motor you look at full load on motor uses if you the compressor motor you the amps at 120 volts equals 2004 watts so at the motor uses if you are ok 167 you look at 120.
