    Theoretically its a simple magneto. But to build one could be a long process. Lots and lots of windings to be able to get a decent current. I can see it being done, but not a job I would start. But that’s just me.

    And you would need a freewheel type ratchet for the pedal.

    that is basically a generator hooked to a battery, step on the foot petal to turn the generator in which produces a current to charge the battery, inturn stores it until needed to jump your car.
