Is there such a thing as a quiet generator to temporarily replace power when there is an outage?

My generator is so loud that as desperate as we are to restore some necessary circuits during an outage, I am ashamed and it would be unthinkable to keep it going all night.

    An outage situation when everone has their windows open any gen set is fairly quiet but in an outage situation when everone has their windows open any gen set is going to.

    they make R.V. and boat generators that are almost silent most of them are diesel
