But on a serious note a magnetic field is almost like a flowing fluid going out the north pole and going back around the the south pole.  When you revolve the coil imagine this fluid affecting the electrons one way and when the coil flips around the electrons are pushed the other way back and forth.  Voltage is generated by the change in magnetic field passing through the center area of the coil.  The faster this area changes or the faster the intensity of the magnetic field changes the larger the voltage generated.  Voltage can be thought of as pressure pushing electrons in a wire.</description>
