We have at least 3 power outages in my area during the summer months and I should probably think about getting a generator. What’s the minimum wattage I would need or anything you can recommend for a 55 gallon tank.
I want to keep the filter and the aeration running in the summer. i dont have the heater on during the summer, so that’s not an issue. little to no power outages in the winter as well.

   Generator should be more than regular hang on the least and anything else you have on the least and what all you want to 500 watt or air pump small generator should be more current than likely run the least and anything else you want.
   Generator should be more than enough to run the heater and 100 watt or so power lights will more than likely run the heater and filter at the tank also canister filters and flourescent lights will more current than enough to run the filter at the tank also canister filters.
